ACT Test
The ACT Test is being administered at OPRFHS on February 9, 2008. Deadline to register is January 4, 2008. Pick-up a registration packet in the Counselor's Offices or apply on-line.
SAT I & II
The SAT I & II will not be given at Oak Park & River Forest High School on January 26, 2008. You can take the test at another site. Deadline to register is December 26, 2007.

Looking for something to do over the winter break? How about writing an essay that could win you a $6,000 scholarship? The Optimist Club of Oak Park is sponsoring an Essay Contest for freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The official subject of this year’s contest is "TODAY'S CHOICES SHAPE MY FUTURE." Please see Mrs. Asbury or Mrs. Martinek in the Counselor’s Office Room 207 for an application that outlines the rules of the contest and the official entry form. And while you are visiting the Counselors' Office, be sure to check out the other essay contests that are available to you for a chance to win not only scholarships, but cash awards and prizes as well!

Basketball Game of Year
Support the Huskies tonight as they compete against the Fenwick Friars here at the high school. Girls game at 6 p.m. the boys at 7:30 p.m. See you there! Also please remember to bring your student ID to all home basketball games and use the Student Entrance outside of the Field House. If you do not bring your school ID you will be charged $2.00.
Baseball
There will be a mandatory baseball meeting today at 3:15 p.m. in the Field House balcony. All players who are planning on playing baseball this spring must attend. (C. Ledbetter)
