Blood Drive
The Senior Class Council will be sponsoring the last blood drive of the year. There is currently a large shortage of blood supply in the Chicago area, so your donations would be greatly appreciated. The blood drive will take place on Wednesday, May 28 in the auditorium all day. You will be excused for the period you are donating. If you are sixteen, please pick up a consent form in the student activity center. Help save a life!
From the Bookstore
State loan books - textbooks you checked out from the State Loan Room 139 that have barcodes on the spine - are due back very soon - the last day of finals. For seniors, that is Friday, May 30. For all others, it's Wednesday June 4. If you do NOT check your books back in to the Bookstore by those dates, you will be billed a $5.00 late fee per book AND their new replacement cost. A list of State Loan books and their replacement costs is posted outside of the Bookstore.
Students who received any books on WAIVER (Economic/Medical/IEP) must return ALL their books before they leave the building for the summer. Deadline for books received by seniors is again Friday, May 30 to be cleared for graduation. For all others, the final deadline is June 30. After June 30, books will NOT be accepted to clear your obligation and you will be charged their purchase price.
Buyback runs from Tuesday, May 27 to Monday June 30. Lists are posted in the student activity center. Quantities may be limited, don't wait!
Frisbee Tournament
Dudes Makin' a Difference is sponsoring an eight-team ultimate Frisbee tournament on Saturday, May 31 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the south athletic fields. Teams can sign up in the Student Activity Center for $3 per player. The money will support our sponsored students in Nepal. Only eight teams can sign up, so register quickly.
Pace Summer Pass
The PACE Student Summer Haul Pass is now available in the Bookstore. The pass costs only $40.00 for unlimited rides on most Pace buses at any time of the day for all of June, July and August. All students high school age or younger are eligible. If you get around on PACE, this is a great deal.
Peru Trip Participants
There will be a mandatory meeting in Room 384 on today at 3:10 p.m. Please come on time as there will be a guest speaker and we will be making final arrangements for our trip. See you there!
Yearbooks are Here!
Pick up your pre-ordered yearbook in the Student Center Tuesday, May 26 through Thursday, May 28. Yearbooks will be handed out AFTER 8th period on those days. No books will go out before that time. You will need your student I.D. or Driver's License to prove our identity. No I.D., no book. If you didn't pre-order a yearbook, you can sign up for the lottery for a chance to purchase an extra book Friday after school. So if you didn't order one, and want one, get to the Student Center A.S.A.P. during regular distribution for a chance to buy a 2007-2008 TABULA!

Interested in tryout out for OPRF Drill Team?
There will be an informational meeting for students interested in trying out for the Drill Team held on May 28 in Room 363 at 3:15 p.m. There will be information on requirements and the schedule for tryouts. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Neuman in Room 487.

Come and cheer your friends and language this Wednesday, May 28 at 3:30 p.m. on Lake Street Field.

Remember to bring a treat to share, and a small gift for your sister teammate to Awards Night on May 30. We will wear white, black, and a dash of red. See you soon!
Intramural Softball
OPRF will be holding its inaugural end of the year Softball tournament on May 30 and 31. Pick up your informational sheet in Room 174 today. The Registration deadline to sign your team up is May 28. Space is limited so sign up today.
Boys' Lacrosse Mandatory Meeting
All players are required to attend a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, May 28 at 3:15 p.m. in the Monogram Room. The meeting will cover:
-Sport Awards Night on Friday, May 30. All team members must wear a shirt and tie, as well as nice pants. Any deviation of this will make the player ineligible to participate in that evening's events. They will be sent home.
-Off-season training, including a 15-day skills camp developed and run by varsity coach Lyle Shirley.
-Summer ball and camps, as well as showcase camps.
-Responsibilities as an OPRF athlete while not playing lacrosse.
-Team MVP.
The meeting will only last a short time, so please do not be late. VARSITY players will be returning uniforms, warm ups, and shooting shirts directly after the meeting.
