Congratulations to the 250 awesome OPRF students that raised money and participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event last weekend. OPRF students raised $26,600 for cancer research! A very special recognition goes to senior Catherine Malin and junior Lauren Gonzales for their coordination of this huge success and to the Huskie Athletic Council for their sponsorship!

Come support Model UN’s mission to raise awareness about poverty in Sudan and our goal to raise money for clean drinking water. Bring your second and third period classes to Room 276 on Friday, May 2.
Orchesis Presents “The Anatomy of Orchesis” (L. Riner)
Come check out the Orchesis Dance Company in their Spring Dance Concert on Friday and Saturday May 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 4 at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Auditorium. This spring's show features work from senior choreographers Lilya Ouksel, Mallory Cybulski, Gerard Gerace and Tehillah Frederick. Tickets are only $6.

Only two days remaining to buy your prom and post prom ticket. Stop by the Ticket booth before or after school; don’t forget your blue sheet and your guest sheet if your guest is not a student here. Synchronized Swim Team
Come see the fabulous Synchronized Swim Team perform their annual show, “Synchro Goes to Disney World” today at 7 pm, Friday, May 2 at 4 pm, and Saturday, May 3 at 3 and 7 pm in the West Pool. Tickets are $6.00 for adults and only $4 for students.
Volunteer Opportunity
The Oak Park Public Library is offering a new volunteer program for teenagers this summer that will build your skills, engage your talents, and allow you to give back to the community. Apply by Thursday, May 22. More information is available on the Library's website and copies of the application are at the Welcome Center and Student Activities Center.

Only 6 more weeks until cheer team tryouts!
There will be another open gym session this Saturday, May 3. All current OPRF students interested in trying out are welcome to attend and should meet at 9am in the 3 South Gym. This week we will do light conditioning and focus on skills that will need to be demonstrated at tryouts. Bring your water bottle!

Thanks to everyone who made the 2008 OPCON a huge success. Thanks especially to all of the club participants who worked so hard. Sci Fi will not be meeting this week or next. We will meet again on May 15.
