Recycle your Gym Shoes
The Biology/Environmental Club is collecting old gym shoes for recycling. Please tie your gym shoes together and place them in the collection bin located in the Student Activity Center. The collection will continue until Friday, May 2. No cleats, sandals, slippers, or anything that is not a gym shoe. Also, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the cell phone recycling effort.
A.P. Government
The final AP Government review session will be Tuesday, April 29 at 7:05 a.m. in Room 481. First semester students are encouraged to see Ms. Biasiello to discuss additional review opportunities.
B.O.S.S. Scholarships
B.O.S.S. Organization is sponsoring 5 - $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors. Applications will be available in Room 430 starting Monday. The deadline to apply is May 9. Through the George and Sarah Vance Memorial Education Fund, winners will be notified by May 30, 2008. The 2nd annual scholarship is geared towards graduating B.O.S.S. members, but not exclusively.
Driver Education during Summer 2008
Any students interested in taking Driver Education during 2008 Summer School must attend both of the two registration meetings on Wednesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the North Cafeteria. Bring a black or blue ballpoint pen. Freshman cannot sign up if they are already registered for 1st or 2nd semester Driver Education next year. There is no pre-registration. Nothing needs to be done until these two nights.
Evening of One Acts
Support the 13th Annual Evening of One Acts Fundraiser sponsored by the I.T.S. Troupe 5405. Come see a wide range of one acts: comedy, drama, and children's theatre - something for everyone! Today, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 30 at 4:30 p.m. in Studio 200. General Admission is $10 for adults and $5.00 for students and senior citizens. I.T.S. Fashion Merchandising Window Display (B. Kucharski)Hey OPRFHS! Help out Mrs. Kucharski’s Fashion Merchandising class by voting on your favorite window display. Check out the display next to Room 174 in the Student Activity Center starting tomorrow and cast your vote for either Spring or Summer to determine which visual team is best. Voting continues through Friday, May 2.
Got any overdue library books?
Check your school email account for an overdue notice from the library. If you got a notice, then you have an overdue book. Please return it as soon as possible. There are no fines for over due books, but if you don't return it by the end of the year, then you buy it and it will be billed directly to your account. Any questions? Have You Registered to Vote Yet?
The League of Women Voters will be in the Student Center during all lunch periods on Monday, April 28 to register students and staff to vote. You need to bring two forms of identification including a picture ID. You must be 18 by the November 4 election in order to register.
Orchesis Presents “The Anatomy of Orchesis”
Come check out the Orchesis Dance Company in their Spring Dance Concert on Friday and Saturday May 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 4 at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Auditorium. This spring's show features work from senior choreographers Lilya Ouksel, Mallory Cybulski, Gerard Gerace and Tehillah Frederick. The show is chalk full of cool dance and you would be missing one of the must see events of the year so don't let that happen to you! Tickets are only $6....that's cheap compared to a professional dance concert downtown and we're just as fabulous! If you think that's a bold statement...come prove me wrong! (L. Riner)

Tickets are on sale this week only! Get organized and come to the ticket booth today through Friday before or after school. Remember, Post Prom is a bargain at only $15. It will be a blast, DJ Wojo, games and food! Get your Prom and Post Prom package today for only $100.

Chemistry Club
We will meet promptly at 7:20 a.m. in Room 134 on Wednesday, April 30. Bring a clean, cotton T-shirt with you for tie dying. If the t-shirt is new, you need to wash it. This is a fun way to experiment with the chemistry of dye molecules.

Applications for independent study for the fall 2008 semester are now available in Room 373. Deadline to submit is September 5, early in the fall semester.

You will get first hand experience with representatives of the Union Building and Construction Trades Industry.
