Auditions for “Stopkiss”
Come audition for the next Studio 200 play, Stop Kiss, by Diana Son, directed by Rivkah Gevison. Auditions are March 4 and 5 after school in Studio 200 with callbacks on March 6. Sign up outside of Studio 200. No experience necessary!
Don't know what to do with that old cell phone?
You can recycle it? The Biology/Environmental Club is collecting old cell phones and rechargeable batteries all this week. Bring them to Room 117. (M. Urbanski)

Grill Meister is turning up the heat in our cafeteria with their menu of grilled favorites. Just follow the heat wave to the cafeteria! Winter Musical
Looking for something exciting and fun to do? Come see OPRF's energetic winter musical Crazy For You with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin! See the work of over 100 students and faculty in this tap dancing musical spectacle. Opening this weekend: Saturday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday March 2 at 3:00 p.m. in the auditorium and next weekend March 7&8 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults.

Eight weeks left until the local ACTSO qualifying competition on Saturday, April 26. Talented African American students will be selected to compete at Disney World this summer. Win up to $2,000 in prizes. See Mrs. LeCesne in Room 308 for details.

Help us design a chapter t-shirt. Any design is cool as long as it says OPRF and Best Buddies. Turn designs into Room 109 or at our next Club Meeting, March 6. We’ll vote on designs then. If your design wins, the shirt is free.

FCA (a non school sponsored club) will finish reading the story of Joseph and the multi color coat. We will meet this Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. in Room 246. (F. Arriaga)
Orchesis Spring Dance Concert
Our first meeting and casting day will be this Thursday at 3:15 p.m. in the 3rd floor dance studio. Please be there on time so we can get out by 4:00 p.m. SENIOR CHOREOGRAPHERS - Remember that you are meeting me today after school to show me choreography. No choreography....no dance! There is a mandatory meeting Wednesday, February 27 in the Monogram Room at 7 a.m. We will discuss off-season training, fundraising, and conclude with a discussion on how awesome Coach Powell is. If you cannot attend the meeting see Coach Powell in Room 483.
Attention Boys’ Volleyball
This is the last week of Open Nets! Tuesday & Thursday from 6-7:30 a.m. in the 3rd floor gyms. Get your blue card and paper work from outside the Athletic Office and turn it in. Tryouts start on Monday, March 3. We don't have school that day, so if you don't have your card before then you will not be able to tryout. Any questions, come see Coach Shipley in the 3rd floor library ASAP.

Ethiopian troops, lead by King Menelik II, defeated invading Italian troops bent on subjugating their African nation at the Battle of Adowa.
Sep. 10, 1884
European diplomats met at the Kaiserhof Hotel to partition Africa into colonies at the controversial Congress of Berlin.
