2008 Percy Julian Symposium
Students interested in participating in the 2008 Percy Julian Symposium held here in our library on April 19 need to submit their applications by March 1. For applications or more information, see Mr. Costopoulos in Room 128.
All Students
Next year, the OPRFHS School of Business will be offering school credit for community, volunteer, and service hours. Business Community Service Internship will be scheduled during Period 0 on your schedule. See Mr. Hostrawser, Mr. Belpedio, or your counselor for details.
Black Professional Day
The eighth annual Black Professional Day is Wednesday, February 20 in the Library. Successful African Americans have volunteered to speak with you about their paths to success. If you are interested in attending, please obtain a registration form from Ms. Swope in Room 348. Forms can be returned to Ms. Swope or Mrs. Glenn in the Library by Wednesday, Feb. 13. There will be no late or on-the-day registration.

Join your favorite faculty members as we cheer on our GIRLS and BOYS at a Varsity Basketball doubleheader vs. Downers Grove North. The girls play at 6pm and the boys play at 7:30 p.m. There will be a special ceremony before the boys’ game honoring Al Allen and Barb Liles for their years of commitment to our student athletes.
Interested in exploring a career in medicine or health?
Rush Oak Park Hospital is recruiting students for after-school and weekend volunteer positions to help in the hospital gift shop, provide customer service to patients and their families, and help staff in a variety of hospital offices and labs. More details about volunteer needs and times and applications are available at the Welcome Center/Room 105 and Student Activities Center.
Peru Trip Meeting
There will be a mandatory meeting for all Peru Trip participants today at 3:15 p.m. in Room 384. Please see Ms. DiVerde or Ms. White if you have a conflict.
Students Interested in Field Biology
There is required parent meeting on tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Room 129. If one of your parents does not attend, you will not be considered for participation in this year’s class. If there is any problem, contact Ms. Remack in Room 129.

The Huskies will be playing Waukegan HS in the prestigious McDonald's City-Suburban Showdown on Saturday, February 16 at Northwestern University at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and are on sale in the Athletic Office NOW! Join the Dog Pound as we travel to Evanston to cheer on the Huskies!

All boys interested in playing freshman Lacrosse must attend a mandatory meeting this Friday at 3:15 p.m. after school in Room 110. We will discuss conditioning and tryouts for the upcoming season. Any questions, contact Mr. Hill in Room 377D

Registration requires $10 and a current student ID.
