Costa Rica
Last call for students interested in participating in the Field Tropical Ecology course going to Costa Rica this summer! There will be a short informational meeting for those who were unable to attend before winter break. If you cannot make this meeting please see Mrs. Bohne as soon as possible to pick up all necessary information and to schedule an interview. The informational meeting is this Thursday, January 10 in Room 118 after school at 3:15 p.m. See you on Thursday!
Summer Field Marine Biology
Interested in learning about the life in our oceans? How about traveling to Florida to explore the world "under the sea?" Join us on the experience of a lifetime this summer. Students interested in taking part in the Field Marine Biology Class please see Mrs. Bayer in Room 287 at 3:10 p.m. today to get information.

The Heritage Morp is Friday, January 25 each year several student rappers and poets are featured. This year there will be 3. If you would like to be chosen to present your skills at the Heritage Morp, bring a demo CD demo to Room 430 by 3:15 p.m. this Friday. The winners will be notified by Jan 21. A $100.00 cash prize will be awarded after presentations at the Heritage Morp. (M. Vance)

Psychology Club
Are you frustrated about your performance on tests? Do you feel that your test grades don’t reflect what you know? The Psychology Club is offering strategies to overcome your exam-o-phobia and improve your test-taking skills. Two sessions are offered Thursday, January 10 in Room 368 at either 7:30 am or 3:15 pm.
Science Fiction and Fantasy Club
Due to Mr. Faust's absence, Science Fiction and Fantasy Club will not be meeting this week. Due to Final Exams, Science Fiction and Fantasy Club will not be meeting next week. We will meet again on Thursday January 24.
Spoken Word Mandatory Meetings
Mandatory meeting for our Winter Showcase on Thurs. at 3:20 p.m. sharp in Room 370. Get your blue commitment contracts to Mr. Kahn asap.
SPORTS CORNER
Boys’ Tack & Field
The Track & Field season starts Monday, January 14, please have your blue cards turned in to Coach Hasso by this Friday to be eligible. Athletes currently participating in a winter sport, that wish to join the team are to see Coach Hasso on the 3rd floor library at the conclusion of their winter sport.
Boys’ Lacrosse
All boys interested in playing lacrosse in the spring must attend a short informational meeting this Friday at 3:15 p.m. in Room 370. We will discuss equipment, pre-season conditioning, and tryout requirements. Bring all questions to Coach Ganschow in Room 305.
Female Track and Field Athletes
Students interested in joining the Girls Track and Field Team must register for the team by Friday, January 11. Pick up information and registration forms from the Athletic Office. See you soon! (S. McCabe)
Girls’ Gymnastics
The girls’ gymnastics team will be competing today at Hinsdale Central H. S. at 6:00 p.m. Go Huskies!
Girls’ Soccer Meeting
