NOTE - The Village of Oak Park may charge visitors $5 per vehicle to enter the Scoville Avenue/OPRF Community Parking Garage at Lake and Scoville during some special events. (This fee does NOT apply to school staff w/ S-2 stickers). If there is no parking attendant collecting fees, please pay according to the garage paybox instructions whenever parking after 4 p.m. weekdays and all day on weekends.
Prior to 4 p.m. weekdays, the garage is for staff parking only and is open only to visitors who have obtained and posted a temporary parking pass obtained from the Welcome Center or staff member they are visiting. Limited street parking is available, with many areas designated "resident only," so please check all Village parking signs carefully to avoid getting a ticket!

-Noon – 4 p.m. 9th Annual “Kids Helping Kids” 9/11 Lemon-AID Stand, 700 Bonnie Brae, River Forest. Bring your spare change or generous donation and stop by for a refreshing cup of lemonade and tons of fun—talk about making lemonade out of lemons! This year’s sale benefits Opportunity Knocks, the community recreational and support program for adults with developmental disabilities.

– 2 – 8 p.m. 11th Annual Clear Sky Festival, Keystone Park, River Forest. FREE. Fun family event with inflatables, laser tag, airbrush tattoo artists, rock climbing wall, food vendors, bicycle safety course, dodgeball tournament, a great entertainment line-up and more!
**This is also a great event for youth to get to know local law enforcement**
– 5-9 p.m., Silhouette, partnering with the OP Arts District’s Art on Harrison Festival (starts at noon). OPRF teen advisory committee to Sarah's Inn has organized a student-run benefit concert to raise awareness about dating/relationship violence. The concert will be on the west stage at Cuyler, just north of Harrison.
TUES. SEPT. 14 – 7 p.m., PARENT CAFÉ KICK-OFF Meeting, Unity Temple.
Let’s try some good old parent-to-parent communication and networking. This is the first in what will grow into a series of parent/community networking opportunities to address concerns about and develop strategies to deal with issues related to youth and teens in our communities and schools. Reminder: LATE ARRIVAL MONDAYS. There is late arrival for students all Mondays that school is in session to allow for weekly faculty professional development.
First period starts at 9 a.m. Until 8:50 a.m., students can only enter through the main Scoville Avenue entrance. All other doors are closed under 8:50 a.m. Students who come early may wait in the Student Center or cafeterias or go to the Library. Starting Sept. 13, the Testing Center will be open for makeup work. More details will follow soon.
Students must wait until 8:50 a.m. to go to their lockers.
